Headed team that built the foundational back-end plan automation system in the most visible and important multi-year project. The success of this project was instrumental in securing new rounds of funding. Millions of dollars in cost savings were projected by transitioning core functions from a costly third-party service to this in-house system—a strategic necessity for Vestwell's long-term viability. The system executed over a billion dollars in transactions by pulling large sums from plan sponsor bank accounts then dividing and routing funds for individuals and transacting securities on their behalf to fulfill their retirement goals.

Championed the development of a retail assortment planning tool, empowering retail buyers with insights into historical sales trends and enabling strategic planning for future seasons.

Led effort to replace early-stage startup infrastructure that bottle-necked the core real-time analytical workloads when new larger (by orders of magnitude) prospective client dataset size requirements were considered. Data-store technology was swapped, application logic was overhauled, and core workloads were performance tuned with 100x speed improvements. Reported directly to the CEO and played a critical role in managing, hiring, and co-leading a small team of engineers.

Led the design and implementation of the foundational structure and essential features for a new customer-facing single-page SAAS portal.
