Worked with UC Davis ECE professors to develop a system of RF nodes responsible for monitoring temperature, humidity and CO2 content in vineyards and barreling facilities for wine fermentation at a Napa Valley winery. Tasks included programming a specialized PSoC in C, using UART to send sensor data to Xbee RF nodes, and creating a Zigbee network with an XBee Industrial Gateway to send data to Amazon Web Services using MQTT protocol for visualization for employees at the winery where the system was installed.

I was a paid software/firmware engineering intern working on projects in website development, iOS and embedded systems programming, and TCP communication. I built an iOS app that was purposed to communicate heights to a microchip RF board that controlled a hydraulic car lift so that the car could be raised and lowered from the iPhone app. This project included programming in Swift on the iOS end and the microchip board was programmed in C. The information was communicated through a Swift TCP socket.
