As a member of the Package Tracking Team, successfully launched a new app feature to track packages purchased with PayPal or scraped from the user's emails. After launch, I took ownership of two Java 8 kafka daemons responsible for fetching emails and publishing push notifications. This includes both ensuring daily stability of these services and driving long-term improvements. To further these goals, I pushed the team to standardize logging practices, implement meaningful automated alerts, improve testing practices, and write more maintainable code.

Work with a small team of engineers to transition US Soccer's development work from third-party contractors entirely in-house. I was primarily responsible for the back end C# APIs built on ASP.Net and Azure Functions, but also work on front end code built on React.JS and served via Sitecore.

I helped maintain, improve, and expand the C#/WPF front-end of Smokeball, a practice management suite for small law firms. Content Developers are responsible for building and maintaining custom matter types, designed to accommodate the varied requirements of practice in all 50 US states.

Responsibilities included:

Debugging and improving the UI to improve customer experience,

Creating new windows and layouts from scratch as Smokeball expanded its practice area coverage,

Building custom WPF controls to both standardize legacy views and simplify future development, and

Working with designers to deliver a product that met client needs while remaining easy to support.
