Having identified and analyzed existing limitations in our computational fluid dynamics solver (AERO-F) I proposed and implemented an enhanced algorithm with smoothness guarantees that overcame these limitations and enabled aerodynamic shape optimization. AERO-F is an advanced parallelized CFD tool for high speed, viscous and/or turbulent flows and nonlinear fluid-structure interaction. Currently, I am upgrading AERO-F and our in-house python-based optimization suite to perform aerodynamic shape optimization on full-size commercial aircraft with large shape and topology changes

Side projects have included analyzed existing learned models for nonlinear constitutive relations and enhanced the neural network architecture to accelerate evaluation times and improve accuracy
