Stabilized the team after the company’s first layoff in history losing nearly 20% of the Design team. Established a streamlined project planning process that provided transparency for Product and Eng leadership and brought clarity and improved coordination across the team. Guided the team throughout the development of key projects including launching a new payout service, a newly integrated terminal hardware, and Stripe’s transformative vision from a payment processing service into a full-stack financial operations platform. ### Head Of Design @ Flexport Jan 2019 – Jan 2022 | San Francisco, California, United States Led the Design team in transforming Flexport’s freight forwarding platform into a systematic, scalable, and adaptable ecosystem for managing the end-to-end shipment lifecycle. This includes monitoring and coordination of freight, specialized workspaces across all service areas (Ocean, Rail, Air, Warehouse, and Trucking), exceptions management, reporting and analytics, and integrated tools for partners and carriers. Scaled the team from 23 to 70 people, raised the engagement score from 45 - 73%, and evolved the charter, operating model, and stature of Design within the company. ### UX Sr. Manager - Google Maps (Local Search, Discovery) @ Google Jan 2016 – Jan 2018 | Mountain View, CA Led a cross-functional team of designers, researchers, and prototypers to evolve Google Maps from a navigational tool to a dynamic discovery app that helps users find places to go and things to do around them. Also led the development of local content for Maps and Search by integrating structured answers with organic results, encouraging more user generated content, and letting users take actions directly from the results page. ### UX Manager - Google Drive (Mobile Drive, Docs, Editors) @ Google Jan 2011 – Jan 2016 | Sydney, Australia Led the UX team in Sydney to build out the mobile version of Google Drive, Docs and Editors (Docs, Sheets, Slides) across both iOS and Android Platforms for phone and tablet. Oversaw the rebranding and growth of Google Drive as a stand-alone app and spearheaded a number of fledgeling productivity apps like Google Jamboard, Google Keep and Android PDF Viewer. ### Sr. UX Designer - Mobile Wallet, Mobile Ads @ Google Jan 2010 – Jan 2011 | San Francisco, CA Led the initial UX concept for Mobile Wallet to help users pay for online and offline purchases. Guided the fledgeling product team through various initial iterations. This project was Google’s first ambitious step into the payment space that would eventually lead to Android Pay. Also led the development of various new ad units for mobile apps. ### UX Manager - Google Apps for Enterprise @ Google Jan 2006 – Jan 2010 | Mountain View, CA Built a cohesive UX team that supported Google Apps for Enterprise since its inception and through various milestones from Jun 2006 to Jan 2010. Set the design vision for Google Apps and led the UX implementation across multiple iterations growing the product to serve Enterprise and small business users. ### Design Lead / Manager @ Adobe Jan 2005 – Jan 2006 | San Jose, CA Led the design team for Adobe Stock Photos, an in-app stock image sourcing tool across all of the Adobe Suite that is featured in Adobe Bridge. HotJobs @ Yahoo Jan 2003 – Jan 2005 | New York, NY Established the Yahoo! User Experience Design (UED) presence in NYC after HotJobs acquisition and helped recruit and grow the team there. Led the redesign of the job-seeker product for HotJobs among other efforts.
