I worked with the team at Laserlike to develop fully automated deployment solutions for their existing, cross-platform React Native app. 

Laserlike was a trending startup with over 25M in venture funding. But their manual deployment process and rapid pace of feature development was taking a toll on their developers’ time.  

I created a fully automated CI/CD pipeline with tools like Ansible and Jenkins, and revised their existing tooling (based on Fastlane). By deploying their build architecture to a hosted private Mac cloud, the app developers were able to save time that was previously spent deploying on their own computers.

At Laserlike, I worked with a third-party quality assurance team at Kellton Tech to run automated tests for the Laserlike app. To make the build software easier to use, I created a web-based dashboard for initiating beta and release builds. I also added integrations with common software like Gerrit and Slack to their automation infrastructure. 

During my time at Laserlike, their app achieved the ranking of #5 in the U.S. news category. Laserlike also partnered with Mozilla to launch Advance, a powerful recommendation engine built into Firefox and powered by Laserlike.

Shortly after I left, Provata was acquired by StayWell.
