I am a passionate problem solver who strives to learn as much as possible to solve
new and more difficult problems with engineering and creativity.
My mechanical engineering course taught me the basic concepts to grow by
learning and practicing, with projects and competitions. The StartUp project I
founded during this time made me put everything I had in order to lift it off the
ground. It was with this project that I fell in love with software and product
development.
My journey helped me understand how much I like to develop good products that people want, in order to help solve a problem or need they have. Software is a major part of this since its scalability allows for massive distribution and reach.
Along the path learned a lot of technologies, such as Python and Django, C# and .NET, JavaScript and React.js, C and ROS, Java and Android Studio, C/C++ and Arduino, among others.

I am part of the leading team responsible for organizing the 2nd biggest
entrepreneurship contest in the world, which includes analytics, website
optimization, managing partnerships, and putting all the pieces together,
especially with all the COVID-19 changes. The latter demanded that we adapted
current technological solutions to the new needs, as well as adopting new ones. At
times, the work feels like I am juggling many things at once and that I have a lot of
responsibility, which gives me the motivation to keep performing and make the
contest run as smoothly as possible.

PillDeal is a medical device StartUp, which helps women taking the pill on time,
with a hardware and software solution. My role, besides leading a team of 3 and
developing the business model, was product development. This experience tested
my limits of grit, creativity, and learning. For 3 years, I had to learn about every
area of the business, the available technological solutions, which ones to use, and
actually learn to use them. Meanwhile, I had to develop social skills for networking,
pitching, and presenting complex ideas to investors and partners.
Overall, I loved this experience, especially the technology development of the
solution, both the software and hardware (in Android Studio and Arduino).
