As a member of Joyent's hardware team, I worked on incremental improvements to the illumos operating system, including adding support for turning on AHCI LED lights from an end user tool and significantly improving NVMe hotplug on the system. I presented on the NVMe hotplug work internally at Joyent: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UICLVrtHOUc.

As part of the Manta team, I designed and implemented a multipart upload feature for Manta, Joyent's object storage product. My work included publishing a public design document; implementing features in the storage layer, REST server, end user tooling, metadata tier clients, and relevant end-user clients; and writing and updating public and internal documentation on use of the feature.
