As a User Experience Designer at Jove, I manage the user research, marketplace positioning, and tactical execution of a robust ecosystem of tools enabling agile marketing teams to understand what ad creative is working, but more importantly, why it's working.

I work closely with leadership, product managers, and engineering to build accessible, performant, and engaging software solutions while simultaneously expanding the Jove brand and design system.

I constantly work to understand our users through routine user testing, interviews, and usability studies, while crafting detailed and robust prototypes to bring along leadership with complex concepts and illicit meaningful feedback through testing.

Additionally, I regularly assist marketing needs through graphic design, video editing, motion graphics, and high-level brand expression.

Full-stack designer specializing in managing and designing web content, email design and development, graphic design for print and digital distribution, content marketing, social media marketing, as well as managing the marketing department.

My workflow on the design portion included heavy use of Adobe products including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere, After Effects, and Lightroom, as well as front-end web development utilizing HTML and CSS, as well as some JavaScript and PHP. This skills are manifested in my proficiency with WordPress and WooCommerce, and subsequent ability to customize from a developer standpoint.

In 2017 I headed up the team re-designing and re-focusing our web presence to cut down on maintenance and focus on quality content. As a local brick & mortar retailer, it's not the goal of Kennelly Keys Music to compete with large multi-national online retailers, but rather to provide the high level of customer service content necessary to express the quality and community that still remains in local retailers.

As marketing manager my duties include developing campaigns and goals from inception and planning stages to deployment and followup. This involves writing copy, measuring customer engagement, reaching out in a customer service capacity, as well as partnering with local community organizations to bring music and music education to local students and empower the arts through community support and partnership.

As part of our marketing goals, it's my duty to connect with vendors, trade publications, and local community organizations as the liaison representing Kennelly Keys Music. This has brought me to lead publications in numerous trade magazines relating to our approach to community (including the Music & Sound Retailer, MMR, and Music Inc), as well as connecting with local community organizations to provide support or financial underwriting in unique and creative ways.

As the Director of Educator Services it was my goal to create the best possible experience for local educators, students, and up-and-coming artists for our local Pacific Northwest arts community. This included acting as a liaison between local music educators in a sales, education, customer service, and community outreach capacity. I was responsible for the planning and implementation of countless events relating to student education and community partnership, providing educators and students with the knowledge they needed relating to musical instrument and accessory purchases, and providing the highest level of customer service to embolden the community and express gratitude and admiration to our local educators who help us see how music and the arts can benefit our lives in a multitude of ways.
