I am predominately a Frontend Engineer, but I love all kinds of software engineering! I have experience as a Software Engineer, Teacher, Mentor, and at times a Development Team Lead. I enjoy working with different people with different backgrounds on designing solutions to difficult problems, and ensuring that UX and Accessibility are considered. 

I love programming (especially Functional Programming), design, collaboration, and learning. Always learning.

Led the Frontend Engineering Efforts and served as the frequent Development Team Lead on a team focused on developing completely new versions of older applications at DRG/Clarivate for the 3 years of time thus far. Team size fluctuated anywhere from 5 to over 10 developers across multiple countries. Accomplishments include:
* Lead feature development of several key initiatives critical for onboarding clients, working with Project Owners, Backend Developers, and Frontend Developers to ensure completion
* Leading adoption of a modern React stack for development of the new applications
* Design, Architect, and Lead development across the Frontend Application codebase
* Implement and assist in driving TypeScript adoption across the Frontend and Backend
* Help lead implementation of GraphQL APIs and collaborate with the Backend on design

Responsibilities include development of a web application, MEP, using Javascript ES6 and above standards. Worked on a web application which serves as a platform for clients to create forms and workflows for their business needs and manage their supply chains.

Subsequent responsibilities included fixing Javascript performance bottlenecks, helping introduce new libraries to our web stack, and the introduction of features around special character management and assisting with development of a printing feature for clients to print information about the application out as documentation of the application state.

Hired for a 6 month course covering Full Stack Web Development and on several occasions received the opportunity to lead the class in instruction. Daily responsibilities include assisting students learn course material and working with them directly to break down topics, grading homework, and providing assistance with the lesson plan. Course material covered full stack development with Javascript: from the front end in React, to the services or backend in Node.js, the database in either MongoDB or MySQL, and much more! Our mission was to take students with generally little to no education in web development and bring them to the level of developing full web applications!

Worked in web development and more specifically with Ruby on Rails as a full stack engineer on a Genomics web application. Technologies included Rails, Javascript, React.js, Flux, Java, and MySql.

Contributions include a commenting system, ad-hoc container creation, workflow works, significant bug reduction, adding functionality to an in-browser text editor, and full stack development of an api to apply admin set style changes through out the web application.
