I worked on a team that allowed customers to upload data for use in Retrieval-Augmented-Generation (RAG) when calling Large Language Models. I implemented the microservice that would communicate with opensearch when performing a k-NN query, for RAG. I also was part of implementing the rest API (FastAPI) and various microservices (gRPC & python). All of the services ran on kubernetes.

I aided in data ingestion by helping to implement various Dagster jobs such as PII redaction, web crawler (for usage in RAG), various cleanup jobs that ran on schedules, various opensearch indexing of embeddings.

The various LLM's I have worked with are AWS Claude, Google Vertex (text-bison, gemini-pro, chat-bison), and OpenAI GPT.

While at Topbox, I worked on python based rest API for calls by the frontend. I also was part of designing and implementing client data ingestion with use of AWS Lambda, AWS Step Functions, AWS Batch, AWS ECR, and AWS ECS. Much of the ingested data was processed with NLP models for PII redaction, taxonomy, zero-shot, and named entity recognition.

I co-founded the startup where I worked as 1 of the 2 developers to setup all of the AWS infrastructure, a mobile app, a web site, and manage dev-ops. I worked in an agile style process to develop a cross-platform mobile application in the Xamarin framework. I worked extensively with AWS, utilizing services such as Cognito, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and ECS/ECR. I maintained a deployment/release management system for our Python serverless functions allowing us to utilize AWS cloud formation to roll-back or update AWS Lambdas.
