A meal planning, recipe generating, and grocery shopping platform for busy eaters.

- Designed and stylized grocery market frontend with React Router, Styled Components, and Bulma.io to render over 5000+ food products. Users are provided quick access to diet categories and add to cart functionality.
- Served 1100 recipes on the backend for a recipe generator, filtered by dietary preferences specified by the user.

### Back End Developer @ Weyland Software

A legacy code e-commerce site for users to browse and review different clothing products.  

- Integrated back-end system for inherited codebase to support query speeds of 17ms with mySQL.
- Scaled microservice from handling 300 RPS to 1200 RPS with 21M records of user data by deploying three Node/Express EC2 servers on AWS behind NGINX load balancer. 
- Utilized load and stress test tools K6 and Loader.io to locate bottlenecks and increase throughput.

### Lead Project Engineer @ KPFF Consulting Engineers
Jan 2019 – Jan 2021
- Lead team of four engineers through structural design of Kaiser Permanente San Marcos central utility plant, a two-story power source for a new $403 million hospital. Completed product 20% under budget. 
- Lead team of two engineers through structural design of a new cafeteria, gymnasium, and administrative building, part of a $159 million renovation of John H Francis Polytechnic High School. 
- Optimized building configurations through structural analysis under gravity and seismic loading events while collaborating closely with architectural, mechanical, and electrical trades.
- Provided continuous consulting support during the construction process, involving innovative cost-efficient solutions in response to unique construction challenges.

### Design Engineer @ KPFF Consulting Engineers

- Created analytical models of building structures for gravity and seismic loading through ETABS, SAFE, RISA-3D, Excel, Enercalc.
