It was so hot the asphalt below could burn your bare feet. Her ice cream fell and she began crying her little 5 year old eyes out. I felt terrible for her. Quickly, I picked up the scoop with my empty hand, ate all the dirt off, and put what was left on her cone. Her tears stopped. She thanked me and we continued, happily, on our way. That bias towards action still exists today. It’s coupled with honesty, acceptance, resilience, and a variety of main stream and counter culture experiences that help me understand, empathize, and work towards users achieving their goals. A lead product design professional with extensive experience in simplifying complexity for enterprise software companies; my strengths include executing near term tactics while also being able to articulate, influence and work towards long term strategies. I've had success delivering seamless and novel user experiences, as well as implementing process changes to increase productivity, gain cross functional consensus, and ensure colleague success.
