Full stack engineer on the Online Ordering team. Helped build java (dropwizard) microservices with psql databases and contributed to a react/graphql front end for first party online ordering at thousands of restaurants.

Built new features and drove them through all stages of the software lifecycle, including technical design, implementation, testing, deployment, and post production monitoring. 

Some of the major projects I took part in:
 - allowing guests to save and use stored credit cards in a secure and easy manner
 - enabling guests to signup and redeem loyalty points through Toast's loyalty api
 - migrating the online ordering backend from a monolithic java service to several microservices with separation of concerns and scale in mind
 - creation of a node graphql middleware service allowing shared usage of the online ordering APIs with the Toast Takeout mobile app
 - a full rewrite of the online ordering front end to use react and apollo graphql as well as new, refreshed designs

Developed features for the Android TV and mobile apps for a major sports league app. Researched and implemented  code using cutting-edge Android libraries.

### Software Engineer @ Network Time Foundation, Inc.

Helped to maintain and expand the Network Time Protocol. Extended the NTP software daemon to implement the NTP I-Do Extension Field. Challenges included keeping backwards compatibility while changing the way packets were sent and received to implement security protocols.
