Collaborated with dozens of distributed Tech Leads and colleagues that deployed hundreds of A/B experiments and flags for millions of LatAm users among Mercado Libre’s e-commerce, payments and various other mobile products that helped me gain extensive experience in development processes and refined my technical skills.
I played a key role in the development of SDKs that permitted such integrations, leading the efforts in Android and iOS, and in migrating a previous feature flag solution for the entire company.
Investigated thoroughly existing solutions before building new ones from scratch, in order to have the trade-offs clear for each alternative. This helped me built a solution that granted teams at the company observability and governance over the flags they use. Such solution involved multiple services, a new DB, caches and a pull request pipeline detection system.
I was also given the responsibility of mentoring colleagues, which enabled me to develop leadership skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner (peer programming, PR reviews, system design documents reviews), and conducted interviews.
I also proposed and implemented the use of better tools for the team’s (20+ members) task-planning efforts.

We managed to build and train two teams (5 each) in weekly meetings that ultimately competed within the best 10 teams in both national (TAP) and international (IEEE) competitions.
Advisor to students as a graduate.
I really enjoyed this new branch in my career. I was given the opportunity to mentor younger students in data structures and algorithms concepts and share the leadership in the organization’s competitive programming arm, enhancing my soft skills like never before.
