Jan 2013 – Jan 2016 | Bothell, WA Led design efforts through multiple releases of mobile and web map-based products, including, ConnectExplorer, Connect360, Mobile Assessment as well as the EagleView web and mobile e-commerce platform. Led the initiative to develop a UI pattern library to products across three product families from corporate acquisitions and mergers Introduced user-centered design methods, such as usability testing of prototypes and contextual inquiry to improve the design processes Mentored other designers on UCD methods, visual and interaction design ### Lead of UX Design and Web Presence @ Bellevue College Jan 2010 – Jan 2013 | Bellevue, WA Owned the college’s strategy, design and development of the web presence, as well as UX design and research for all college web and web applications. Led user research, design and front-end development of the Classes product, a web application which allows students to quickly find class information and up-to-the second course availability at Bellevue College and Peninsula College Architected and designed a large effort to switch the entire web presence into a fast-loading mobile-first responsive design, allowing centralized and decentralized control of content, and created a migration plan for over 120 websites and 6,700 pages. Established a pattern library and style guide across websites and web applications. Led full-time designer and managed interns designing and developing college websites and web applications. Participated actively in college governance to provide recommendations relating to strategic planning, budget allocation, diversity/equity in hiring and student success, and prioritization of college-wide technology efforts. ### Web Specialist, UX Design @ Bellevue College Jan 2003 – Jan 2010 | Bellevue, Washington Created a roadmap of incremental improvements to the college’s main website and utilized user research to guide the changes. Designed the Emergency Alerts System, HSC and Degree Audit. HSC was a cross-college collaborative project to use SharePoint as a lightweight online course management solution. Led the design and information architecture efforts of MyBC, a SharePoint 2007 implementation used by students and employees.
