I'm a philosopher first. No, really. 
- I reason about complex, abstract problems. 
- I break down that reasoning into communicable ideas.
- I make decisions on the basis of that reasoning.
- I have robust arguments for those decisions.

You might also notice I've described a senior software engineer. If you have, then you know the real challenge of technology isn't putting pieces together, following the latest trends, or even knowing a particular language. It's taking a problem, understanding that problem, and delivering a solution to that problem. Bonus points if that solution survives the test of time.

To that end, I have more accomplishments that I can enumerate. Here's a few:
- I created cartographic products for utility inspectors using Databricks, Python and ArcGIS.
- I developed many data connectors, from Tyler SIS and Google Classroom to OneStream and SAP.
- I made and scheduled data pipelines in SSIS for business intelligence.
- I wrote a call-center support application that cut down call times by half, using React, .NET, and Postgres.
- I created that application's user profiles and use cases by conducting interviews with stakeholders.
- I even wireframed, prototyped, and designed that application in Figma. (Can you tell I liked that project a lot?)

So, here's my pitch to you. I solve problems. Software is just the tool I know best, but I'm not interested in tools. I'm interested in solutions. I've been lovingly called The Coder Philosopher, and it's a title I hold proudly.

### Senior Software Engineer @ OneStream Software
Jan 2024 – Jan 2026 | Massachusetts, United States
Developed a people planning software written in .NET and SQL, hosted with IIS. Created documentation and architectural standards for my team and the department.

### Software Engineer @ National Grid
Jan 2023 – Jan 2024 | Waltham, Massachusetts, United States
Created infrastructure-as-code and deployment pipelines for a python application using Azure Functions. Developed a python application for transforming and loading data into ArcGIS feature layers. Used ArcGIS Pro to create cartographic products that field works used to conduct inspections. Created a .NET API and a React web application for interacting with asset and inspection data. Released a product that will save ~70m in regulatory fines.

### Application Engineer @ Bangor Savings Bank
Jan 2022 – Jan 2023 | Bangor, Maine, United States
Developed and supported web and mobile applications in SQL, .NET, Blazor, Flutter, and React. Interviewed stakeholders to determine UX and functional requirements. Created user personas, user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity designs using Figma. Improved the development process through documentation and automated testing. Participated on an agile team as a scrum master.

### Software Engineer @ Tyler Technologies
Jan 2018 – Jan 2022
Developed a large, multi-tier application using SQL, .NET WCF, and Angular. Advised management and other engineers as a lead in front-end development. Took on complex projects like SAML SSO, multi-channel notifications with Azure Notification Hub, and a generic Angular data table. Implemented Azure App Insights and generated reports for clients and management.

### Class Learning Assistant @ VEMI Lab
Jan 2017 – Jan 2017 | Carnegie Hall, University of Maine
Created lesson plans for students of a week-long summer course. Produced APIs for robots and other resources. Completed a VR car racing game in Unity3D for advertising the summer course.

### Software Developer @ ASAP Media Services

Developed database models and implementations for SQL databases. Created REST APIs to support our mobile applications in Laravel. Wrote native mobile interfaces using Swift for iOS and Java for Android
