Responsibilities - Led and outfitted the Apple Soft Goods R&D Lab / Makerspace and pioneered the way 'soft good' industrial design deliverables and product design engineering requests are fostered, managed, and made internally - before bringing overseas for production. Involved in the entire product creation process through 'proof of concept' iterations, 2D sketching, 3D CAD, hands-on model making, in-house and factory level prototyping, tooling design, assembly, vendor relations, technical research and development, engineering, DFM proposals, testing and analysis, operations engagement, mass manufacturing, and final production overseas.
Products & Prototypes - WATCH bands, straps, loops, buckles, lug attachments, magnet assemblies, charging docks, retail displays, and packaging. iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 6, and iPhone 6 Plus covers and cases. iPad Air, iPad Air 2, iPad mini, iPad mini 2, and iPad mini 3 covers and cases. Made and delivered thousands of in-house prototypes and functional models for special projects, board meetings, industrial design studio reviews, and product engineering 'design of experiments'.
