I have always been interested in the world of programming even before I enrolled in my high school's first computer science class. The curriculum was very bare and low-level, where we did not explore many concepts and was limited to Python and Scratch. With this very basic introduction to programming I knew I wanted to major in computer science at my local community college.

After my time at community college, I transferred to university for a major in Mathematics in which I quickly found was a big mistake, for I had no passion or enthusiasm for Math. I dropped out and immediately started practicing for interviews and honing my arsenal of technologies with HTML/CSS, Node, MongoDB, and a little bit of React. After sometime I was not getting much luck so I took a different approach which led me to find Flatiron School. A 15 week immersive program which taught full-stack development with React and Rails. After this program I quickly realized how passionate I was about technology, and became more eager to start working with and developing todays technologies.

I have never accepted "no" for an answer and I'm always trying to improve myself by learning from my failures. This perseverance is a core trait of mine that I will bring with me to any job.
