Designed, led, and implemented numerous initiatives and feature sets for the sole internal PayPal Alert Management System. Utilizing numerous technologies and contributing Full-Stack, I was able to clearly see end-to-end solutions to the finish line that had significant impact on the day to day productivity of Operations Engineers and Product Development teams who relied on the tool. These involved RESTful APIs interacting with Kafka data pipelines and consumers to then read and act on the data flowing in. I led integrations with numerous teams to detect and generate alerts, adding visibility into problematic events before they led to larger external customer facing incidents.
Developed many Front-End products that aid in the ability of our Monitoring users to interact with and monitor their systems. To achieve this, I re-wrote many existing tools into Angular so that components could be shared and the overall architectural structure and performance could be optimized. This included many technologies such as: Angular, TypeScript, Redux, RXJS, Bootstrap, and Apache amongst others.
Acquired vast domain knowledge into the PayPal infrastructure at a very low level, allowing myself to take the lead on any infrastructure related tasks that deemed necessary for building reliable and maintainable systems. In addition to knowledge of PayPal Infrastructure, I gained valuable experience with the Google Cloud Platform for public cloud management.
