Liquid cooling systems design and ramping for high-volume production

My main term project at Christie Digital was to develop a series of thermal tests to determine the thermal profile and passive cooling effectiveness of the MicroTiles LED video wall product. By simulating real-world installations and display content, and setting up thermocouples at various points of interest around the video array, I was able to collect thermal data that was used to draw important conclusions about the system's cooling performance.

During my co-op term at RAMP, I was a part of the Mechanical Design team. My main term project was the development of a standalone automated cell producing sub-assemblies used in an automotive OEM's slide-out tailgate product. I worked with other engineers, toolmakers, and our customer to apply existing best practices in automation mechanical design to new concepts to create an effective and efficient final design.

At ATS, I was a member of the Mechanical Design and Applications team. I developed a stator coil wire gripper used in EV electric motor production and I helped develop a controls enclosure for a nuclear reactor heat transfer pump inspection robot. When the COVID-19 pandemic began worsening over Spring 2020, I developed equipment to enable high-volume N95 respirator production. By researching existing production methods for several types of respirators, I created several early production processes and tooling concepts.
