Keeping the Google Cloud Console reliable.

Designed and built a release platform for the Google Cloud Console, allowing internal Cloud developers to deploy changes to the Console independently and quickly, and facilitating safe and fast rollbacks.

Assisted in a wider initiative to break down the monolithic Cloud Console web app into independently releasable microservices, reviewing design docs and performing operational work to execute large-scale migrations safely.

Participated in incident response, performing operational tasks such as rollbacks and traffic management when required to mitigate an outage.

Worked on a redesign/rewrite of the Fivestars mobile app (for customers) from Objective-C/Java into a cross-platform React Native + Typescript app, growing app usage from 300k to 400k MAUs.

Led iOS development of a new mobile app (for business owners), using the VIPER architecture pattern. Built a Python/Kubernetes microservice backend which serves data from a time-series database populated by Kafka. Researched, built proof-of-concepts for, and presented architecture reviews for prospective technologies like Spring Boot, Cassandra and InfluxDB.

Developed new features for the Fivestars consumer iOS app (~200k MAUs at the time), including parts of a Objective-C-to-Swift migration and setting up a UI testing framework.
