I worked for Praxis between San Francisco and Sydney. While in San Francisco, half of my efforts were focused on business development and expanding the company's US presence.

PROJECTS

SYDNEY AIRPORT WEBSITE (8 Months):

Translated research insights into wireframes, preliminary prototypes for a responsive website. Formed a site map that not only showed page connections but highlighted where repeated page layouts were used. Created a complete style and responsive design guide for development and implementation.

WHEELEASY WEBSITE (3 Months):

Sydney's "Trip Advisor" for those that are physically handicapped and their friends and families. Primary Visual and UX Designer for WheelEasy's updated web application. Designed multiple interfaces for WheelEasy moderators and WheelEasy users. Created Sketch/InVision Prototypes for testing and use in implementation.

Management of projects ranging from pocket parks, interiors, and to vision and master planning. Responsibilities were often directed toward community engagement through the coordination and implementation of community and client workshops and charrettes.

INTERSTICE received the ASLA Northern California Honor Award for Planning, Research, and Analysis on the Lower Polk Alleyways District Vision Plan. I lead this project from on-site research and interviews, conceptual and programmatic design, to content writing and final documentation of the 100-page vision plan.

Worked on a three-person design team with Telepath to develop a program that studies repeated actions of developers on a team. Responsibilities included: Research, Competitive Analysis, Prototyping & User Testing

What is Telepath?

Telepath reduces time spent searching for relevant solutions to a problem by preemptively providing developers with current resources already found by teammates.

Designed and held presentations, tutorials, and workshops on the use of Adobe Creative Cloud Programs.

National Landscape Architecture Honors Fraternity

Determined student eligibility, Managed finances, Awarded Memberships & Scholarships, and coordinated bi-annual events for students in the honors fraternity.

Researched ecological conditions and movement patterns and translated insights into master plan guidelines for the Progress street corridor and West Central Area Plan in Fort Collins, Colorado. Coordinated and facilitated community and city workshops. Developed wayfinding strategy and environmental signage for the Ruby Hill Bike Park in Denver, Colorado. Provided drafting and rendering for various additional projects.

Worked with an interdisciplinary team of 5 students to conduct studies of Chicago’s Chinatown that focused on the future of Chinatown as a transit hub for the city. Studies were compiled into a 70-page document that was presented to the community and referenced for future development.

Worked on an interdisciplinary team to design a responsive lighting installation. Researched material, environmental, and experiential properties to develop testable prototypes that ultimately formed a field of kite lanterns that responded to human density and motion.
