AI induced brain atrophy is real. I believe AI should give us superpowers, not replace us. I build tools that reflect this philosophy - where AI is used as a sounding board and a thinking partner, rather than a one click generator. Trivial Pursuits is the studio where I bring this idea to life in as many diverse contexts as I can.
CURRENT PROJECTS
• Don't Kill My Brain (dontkillmybrain.com): A classifier that labels the mode in which humans are using AI and helps promote greater awareness of patterns of cognitive dependence
• Autobiographer (autobiographer.io): An AI job coach that reads job descriptions, helps you evaluate fit, charts a path to closing skill and experience gaps, and collaboratively generates tailored resumes, cover letters, and interview prep.
• Road Not Taken (roadnottaken.io): A personalized travel guide generator. Planning becomes exploration, not form-filling.
• Revmatch (revmatch.co): An enthusiast car-rental business that uses AI-powered software to automate nearly all operational workflows (garage access, unlocking cars, fleet tracking, financial analysis).
• Little Explorer (littleexplorer.fly.dev): An app I built for my 5-year-old daughter to encourage engaging with the physical world during her travels. Location-aware scavenger hunts and discovery prompts that turn any trip into an adventure.
• Shiny Black Holes (shinyblackholes.com): A collaboration between a human songwriter and an AI generative music model, reviewed by the brightest AIs of our time.
• Chalk (chalk.my): A shared AI-teacher digital workspace where the AI responds to and works inside an evolving document with the teacher. Designed to support flow, not replace judgment.

Manual sports cars with real mechanical feel are disappearing. Revmatch keeps them on the road and makes them accessible to enthusiasts.
• Bootstrapped an 8-car enthusiast fleet (Porsche 911, Boxster, Cayman (2X), Alfa Romeo Quadrifoglio, Mazda Miata, VW GTI, Jeep Wrangler) optimized for driving thrills rather than generic rentals
• Built to profitability: ~$150K ARR with 25–30% contribution margin after financing, maintenance, depreciation, and insurance
• Designed and implemented end-to-end AI operations stack (automated messaging, garage and lockbox access, scheduling, access control, risk screening, personalized trip recommendations, and route planning) reducing ongoing operating labor to 0.2 FTE

Worked across U.S. and India-based teams to design AI Grading and Feedback capabilities for teachers. The goal was to reduce cognitive overhead so teachers could stay present with students. This required blending model prompting, fine-tuning, UI design, and systems thinking.
• Designed AI grading and feedback agents for Math and ELA (K-12) that matched teacher voice, rubric logic, and instructional intent — accelerating grading while maintaining teacher authorship
• Built the “Agreement / Consistency / Latency / Feedback Quality” evaluation framework for AI-assisted grading — used as the internal standard for reliability and trustworthiness
• Created interactive feedback loops where teachers can correct and teach the model — improving both model performance and teacher agency over time
2021 — 2024
Increased the adoption of voluntary data sharing programs by VMware customers with an effective mix of incentives and changes to terms of service obligating customers to report usage of Tanzu products on a quarterly basis
Led the creation of the Tanzu Operational Data Service initiative, a cross product service that included effective incentives for customers to share data with VMware, as well as software tooling to simplify the collection and analysis of said data
Formed a deep and fruitful partnership with Customer Success, Legal, and post sales organizations to facilitate the shared goal of improving the velocity and quality of customer intelligence
Bootstrapped a satellite team of data analysts and engineers in Bangalore, India to increase bandwidth and accelerate delivery of reporting and insights at scale
2018 — 2021

Led observability efforts for Tanzu Kubernetes Grid, including the launch of a packaged metrics solution containing OSS Prometheus and Grafana, as well as a logging solution containing fluentbit and fluentd, with integrations to adjacent VMware products such as vRealize Log Insight
Led the creation of the telemetry service for Tanzu Kubernetes Grid, as well as the prior incarnation, Pivotal Kubernetes Service, which allowed the business important visibility into customer adoption and usage of both products
Served as Release Lead for Tanzu Kubernetes Grid, a challenging role that involved coordinating and aligning all of the closed and open source contributors to the TKG kubernetes distribution at a time when existing release machinery was starting to hit serious scale challenges
