Raised in a non-tech savvy household, my younger self always wondered why my computer was slow, what a "404 Error" was, and how to avoid the anxiety inducing error message noise from a Windows desktop. Without knowledge of RAM mechanics or how web technologies worked, I was left clueless. Of course, I was told to shut down the computer and wait 10 seconds (which did work sometimes!). However, this seemed like a naive solution to such a complex device, motivating me to investigate what really goes on under the hood. And as I matured, Computer Science has granted me a "behind the scenes" look to everything that used to confound me and I continue to exponentially grow interest in tech.

I am a detail-oriented and inquisitive programmer aiming to leverage an existing knowledge of technical development/design to successfully occupy a junior software developer role. I focus in the domains of general software and web/full-stack development. However, I enjoy exploring and researching different paradigms of technology (data science, OS, networking, etc.) and relating it back to the context of my work.

## Work Experience
### Backend Software Engineer Intern @ Oden Technologies
Jan 2021 – Jan 2021 | New York City Metropolitan Area
• Implemented a production level Create-Scrap-Yield-Schema gRPC endpoint in Golang that accepts a Scrap/Yield Schema object, executes validation checking, and persists the object by interfacing with Postgres.
• Introduced an accompanying Create-Schema REST endpoint in Golang that consolidates web client schema data and communicates with the aforementioned gRPC endpoint. Executed (de)serialization helper methods to streamline the conversions between protobuf and JSON.
• Pioneered 7 Golang unit tests for each respective endpoint by following a table test methodology and mocked out any dependencies to other resource-intensive microservices and databases.
• Expanded metadata integration capabilities of the Ontos production data pipeline by funneling file data along Google Pub/Sub, thus allowing later Golang microservices in the pipeline to pinpoint the origins of an error.
• Configured a Slack bot with Node.js to automate the delivery of error notifications occurring in the Transformer microservice, allowing 1000+ error insights to be dispatched to a Slack channel easily.

• Directed a classroom of 15+ high school students (ages 14-18) on the fundamentals of web design/development including wire framing, color scheme, basic HTML, and responsive design
• Exposed students to several computer science resources and advanced their knowledge of the tech industry
• Devised an entire curriculum, complete with interactive slideshows/activities, allowing students to develop their own websites in conjunction with their entrepreneurship program

### Intern Web Developer/Designer @ Communitas America

• Collaborated with a team of 4 to build and modernize websites for established South Bronx non-profit organizations serving over 5000 clients per year
• Exposed these organizations to web technologies such as Node.js, React, databases, etc. and persuaded Communitas to migrate towards modern web infrastructure beyond WordPress
• Actively engaged with clients and delivered weekly correspondence (email, in-person meetings, video calls)
• Provided technical consultation for two emerging non-profits with anticipated revenue of $3 million
