I have a generalist skill set, blending together interaction, visual, and research skills.  I like psychology, sustainability, and artificial intelligence (shout out to my future robot overlords). I like working with low-bureaucracy and low-ego teams.

I was a product designer at Intuit for 13 years, making financial tools for small businesses. In the fall of 2021, I left to pursue independent projects and freelance work. This afforded me the opportunity to develop adjacent skills that I was interested in, like illustration and motion design, and to work on environmental problems that I’m passionate about.  Most recently I have been designing AI applications for healthcare.

Founded Ghost Cups, a digital sustainability product to motivate people to reduce single-use plastics. Delivered freelance design, websites, and illustrations for clients. Launched a small online retail business.

Led design for the QuickBooks AI/ML team, developing the customer insights, strategy, frameworks, and experience for AI-driven small business accounting.
 Led new feature initiatives for time tracking, invoicing, job costing tools. Streamlined interaction design in stressed timeline for major release driving $20M LTV growth. Created UX research trainings and coached junior designers and PMs.

Led design for iOS and Android bookkeeping apps receiving App Store Editor’s Choice. Delivered core banking workflows for mobile apps, yielding 4.5 star ratings; design was recognized externally and established enduring UX patterns across suite of apps. Contributed to a new design system.
