I am a full-stack software engineer with a passion for utilizing React, Redux, and Rails to create a seamless user experience with an intuitive and aesthetic user interface. With a technical background in healthcare as a nurse practitioner, I bring with me strong communication skills, a methodical approach to problem-solving, and a collaborative mindset. 

As a software engineer, I began my journey by learning Ruby to develop a foundational understanding of coding. From there, I continued on with Rails, PostgreSQL, Javascript, React/Redux to create a full-stack clone of a dynamic e-commerce website with fully functional user authentication, cart items, and user review CRUD features in just 14 days. After that, I lead a team of 3 other engineers to build a messaging application using the MERN (MongoDB, Express, React, Node) stack in 7 days. The app focuses on creating a safe, anonymous environment for emotional unburdening. We highlighted the guarantee of anonymity in our construction of the authentication process while giving the user full privileges to edit and delete their messages. 

Outside of coding and medicine, I have a knack for picking up slow art hobbies, including pottery, soap-making, crocheting, and wedding cake-making. You can also find me and my two rescue pups enjoying long nature walks or running around SF Bay Area’s various dog beaches.
