# Karthik Vetrivel > AI Infrastructure @ NVIDIA / CS @ Stanford (B.S/M.S) Location: New York, New York, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/karthikvetrivel Hi, I'm Karthik! I'm a software engineer at NVIDIA working on enabling GPUs for distributed AI workloads (Kubernetes). As of late, I've also been looking into systems for LLM inferencing and completing my M.S. Computer Science. In my past as a student at Stanford, I have: 1) Co-authored AI research papers with FAIR & collaborated with Google Zurich 2) Built large-scale AI models for Tesla that are currently deployed on 3M+ Model Ys. 3) Worked on operational hardening tasks for NVIDIA's new serverless API for LLM inferencing. Outside of computer science, I like to play the bass and take long walks around the Stanford campus (and now, Central Park!) ## Work Experience ### Software Engineer @ NVIDIA Jan 2025 – Present | New York, New York, United States Making GPUs first-class citizens in Kubernetes for AI workloads — automating GPU provisioning, driver management, and resource configuration. ### Software Engineering Intern @ NVIDIA Jan 2024 – Jan 2024 | Santa Clara County, California, United States Summer 2024, Containers & Kubernetes (NVIDIA Cloud Team) Working on multi-node, scalable GPU infrastructure for LLM inferencing. ### Machine Learning Engineer Intern @ Tesla Jan 2024 – Jan 2024 | Palo Alto, California, United States Winter 2024, Sensing Team Training neural nets and building machine learning infrastructure for various autopilot & cabin sensing projects! ### AI/ML Research, Stanford Vision and Learning Lab @ Stanford Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (SAIL) Jan 2023 – Jan 2024 | Stanford, California, United States Prof: Jiajun Wu Looking into the intersection of large language models and robotics! Reach out if you have thoughts or are working a similar space. ### Software Engineering Intern @ Edifecs Jan 2023 – Jan 2023 | Palo Alto, California, United States Summer 2023, Core Technology team Working on the infrastructure behind an NLP powered, integrated workflow application to improve risk adjustment coding in healthcare! ### AI/ML Research, The Movement Lab @ Stanford Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (SAIL) Jan 2022 – Jan 2023 | Stanford, California, United States Prof: Karen Liu This internship was completed under a joint Meta + Stanford team and was published to CVPR 2023, the most cited AI/ML conference. We built CIRCLE, a groundbreaking dataset of 3D whole body reaching motion and corresponding first person RGDB videos within a fully furnished virtual home. I worked closely with senior Meta researchers to develop the dataset acquisition infrastructure and machine learning training pipeline. ### Software Engineering Intern @ foundry10 Jan 2019 – Jan 2019 | Greater Seattle Area At Foundry10, I worked on building an open-source CLI application that leverages Python, Django, and PyQt5 to aid educators in early detection of at-risk students. Recognized by EDUCATIONCONF. ### Software Engineering Intern @ REMIO Jan 2019 – Jan 2019 | Greater Seattle Area Before LLMs, I worked on building a real-time meeting app that automatically assigned action items to meeting participants based on the conversation transcripts. Used React Native & Google Calendar API for auto-scheduling meetings. ## Education ### Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Stanford University ### The Overlake School ### Master of Science - MS in Computer Science Stanford University ## Contact & Social - LinkedIn: https://linkedin.com/in/kvetriv --- Source: https://flows.cv/karthikvetrivel JSON Resume: https://flows.cv/karthikvetrivel/resume.json Last updated: 2026-03-30
