NSF REU - Research Experience for Undergraduates in Computer Vision

Trained a Support Vector Machine classifier in Matlab to count the number of people in images of dense crowds. Worked with features extracted from a pre‐trained Convolutional Neural Network on UCF’s annotated datasets.

Collaborated with a graduate student mentor (Haroon Idrees) and professor (Dr. Mubarak Shah) on the project and presented research findings to UCF Computer Vision Graduate Program, Lockheed Martin, and Harris Corporation.
