The Stratospheric Balloon Experiment (SBX) is a high-altitude balloon mission aimed to test and validate the satellite sub-system components.
• Studied stresses induced in mechanical structure by parachute deployment in free-fall. Oversaw and reviewed structural FEA results, to confirm compliance with CSA flight requirements.
• Communicated design intent of satellite structure through engineering drawings and arranged for manufacturing.
• Managed BOM, arranged for purchase, and delivery of components from external vendors.
• Worked cross functionally with various satellite sub-teams to ensure timely execution of deliverables and system level designs.
