• Implement and maintain enterprise insurance system functionality using C#, SQL, and T-SQL across multiple ASP.NET MVC applications supporting Commercial Auto and Businessowners lines of business.
• Design, implement, and maintain premium rating algorithms incorporating underwriting factors, regulatory rules, and configuration-driven values selected by licensed insurance agents during policy issuance.
• Contribute to large-scale ISO-driven Commercial Auto initiatives by creating new premium algorithms, developing new data files and tables for updated rate information, and introducing new underwriting factors used in pricing calculations.
• Diagnose and fix defects to ensure accurate premium calculations, resolving issues related to data configuration, algorithm execution, and system behavior in production environments.
• Create, optimize, and maintain database objects—including stored procedures and functions—supporting rating logic, underwriting behavior, policy configuration, and documentation output. Analyze SQL execution plans to improve performance and maintainability.
• Manage structured pricing and configuration data imports used by rating algorithms and application logic.
• Implement dynamic UI behavior that responds to insurance policy criteria, including conditional inputs, dropdowns, range-based options, and validation rules.
• Program and maintain policy documents attached to policies based on acceptance and underwriting criteria, working with Microsoft Word templates, PDF templates, and Crystal Reports, with templates versioned in Azure DevOps.
• Review and approve code changes, participate in formal code reviews, and serve as a technical resource for junior developers and cross-functional teams.
• Train and onboard new hires and support developers across multiple departments.
• Use Azure DevOps release pipelines to test, deploy, and support changes across environments.
