My role on the content team was to help improve clients' websites by evaluating the content quality, SEO, and usability of their current state compared to their search and industry competitors.
Content strategy includes:
• Researching user intent
• Ideating topics for new blog articles or landing pages
• Organizing content through hubs and navigation
• Auditing pages to find gaps and areas of opportunity
• Identifying ways to optimize for SEO and UX
My main goal was to gain insight into what information users are looking for and help businesses create, organize, and optimize content that satisfies user intent.
Additional Experience at Portent:
• Worked with each author at Portent to create blog articles for our agency's website, from editing copy to entering and scheduling in WordPress
• I served as an extension of the CRO team and help create A/B tests to improve user journeys and increase conversion
• Led a training on writing for UX to educate my team on the importance of user experience best practices when it comes to writing for the web
• Served on the Women of Portent committee to build a community of women within the agency
