Leadership role in young biotech company, responsible for building and leading multiple operational functions:
• Property management and facility maintenance
• Office management and workplace services
• Physical security and infrastructure reliability
• Biolab procurement, material logistics, and support operations
• Environment, Health and Safety (EH&S)
Role included strategic operational planning, budgeting & financial oversight, and staff development & mentoring.
Reporting directly to COO, with a $17M annual department operating budget (not including CAPEX project funding or staff compensation) and four (4) direct-report managers.
Key achievements:
• Transformed Facilities operations by building a multi-department organization providing best-in-class stakeholder support services, while growing staff engagement by 25% and improving corporate efficiency 200%.
• Delivered $2.5M, 8,000 sq-ft Qualified (GMP) Materials Warehouse for clinical production raw materials (2025).
• Implemented Blue Mountain BMRAM CMMS maintenance and metrology program to track asset lifecycle and maintain over 3,000 facility, infrastructure, and equipment assets (2024).
• Delivered $20M, 15,000 sq-ft GxP manufacturing and R&D lab facility on time and under-budget (2023).
• Manage >100,000 sq-ft of property across three buildings, consisting of offices, BSL1 & BSL2 biolabs, ISO6-ISO8 clean-rooms, and validated GMP clinical manufacturing.
• No EPA CUPA findings, OSHA reportable injuries, or workplace Covid transmissions during 4-year tenure.
