Data, one word that opens up possibilities to create complex machines, save lives, and create opportunities. The potential is shown throughout the imagination of various movies and stories. In Iron Man the A.I. Jarvas is able to assist Tony Stark in ways most people wouldn't be able to through its speed and efficiency. The movie Moneyball centers around a team created through sheer statistical reasoning. Even in todays Biological sectors we use data to help detect cancer in the human body. When seeing and hearing all of this I took an interest in the field of Data Science. A field focused on the ability of using gathered data to come up with optimal solutions to various generated questions. My first work was with detecting spam in emails. From there it grew to working with baseball statistics, genetics, and some database manipulation. I continue to grow my skills and work to learn more about what the data can offer.

This passion has continued through my education at The College of New Jersey. At the school I was able to grow my knowledge in computers, data, algorithms, high mathematic topics, and high level statistical methods with computer techniques. This only pushed me to grow my knowledge and work on research that I would be able to put my skills to the test. It was also here that I got my first Internship that allowed me to work in a professional environment.

My plan for the future it to use this passion for my career. To grow my skill set and work with growing datasets in a professional environment. As I continue to learn more I start to see a brighter future for the continued integration of technology in our world.
