Hey! My name is Kenny (he/him), and I am currently a Product Designer II on the Design System team at Hewlett Packard Enterprise.
I received a B.S. in Cognitive Science with a Specialization in Design and Interaction as well as double minors in Design and Speculative Design at UC San Diego.
Designed a notification system used across 9 different products, standardizing visual design and UX by
conducting user research to establish a shared taxonomy, delivering 3 accessible and responsive components, and creating comprehensive usage documentation.

Redesigned the HPE Parts Store homepage and checkout flow, improving UX across multiple user roles, enhancing accessibility, and ensuring visual alignment with HPE’s brand.

Onboarded a 30+ member product team spanning 7 services onto the HPE Design System by providing tailored support, creating getting-started guides, and resolving integration blockers.

Mentored 2 design interns through a 10-week project by establishing clear goals, providing structured
feedback, and coordinating efforts to meet team priorities.

Conducted portfolio reviews and interviews for 30+ designer candidates, contributing to team growth.
Spearheaded the evolution of the HPE Design System Figma library, increasing the number of adopting product teams by 250% through starter guides, streamlined workflows, and improved component quality.

Led the complete rebuild of 50 HPE Design System Figma components, incorporating usability testing and close developer collaboration to drive a 400% increase in usage and surpass 1,000,000 component insertions.
Redesigned the login, onboarding, and homepage experiences for the UCSD official mobile app, driving increases in account registrations, user retention, and engagement by incorporating student feedback gathered through targeted surveys.

Created and maintained an Adobe XD component library for the mobile app to streamline design consistency and support seamless handoff to development.
Worked with the Design System team to create a set of Notification components to be used across all HPE platforms.
