What I did:
Developed a tool that checks if any installed software in a server has CVEs (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures) that are not yet addressed.
Integrated an open sourced software to check if any IAM policies in internal AWS accounts have been violated.
Automated a process to manage effort spent on penetration testing which surfaces better metrics to support team's KPIs.
Set up workflow to transfer logs from 3rd party tools used internally to a SIEM tool, and create monitoring dashboard & alerting.
Took ownership of incident response on issues reported from customers, internal teams & external reporters
Evangelized security by rolling out an annual security training to the entire company and ensured everyone (from Associate to CEO) had completed it for meeting the compliance goal.
Assessed security risk on a 3rd party tools that was being integrated by the business analytics team and suggested controls to put in place.
