Core technical resource in systems integration, systems validation and test engineering
• Major involvement in firmware validation testing, focusing on systems- and firmware-centric failure analysis
• Ownership within group over signal integrity testing, including Gen1/2 SATA, IDE, NAND flash, and DRAM interfaces
• Close work with hardware and firmware engineering teams with a focus on systems integration
• Designer and implementer of engineering-level technical solutions utilizing a range of industry standard tools and languages including .NET (Visual C++/C#), C/C++, MATLAB, MPLAB IDE (for PIC microcontrollers), Xilinx ISE/ Modelsim (for Verilog FPGA), and others
• Software/hardware development on research-oriented tools and equipment for applications such as NAND characterization, drive power loss failover schemes, and others
• Microcontroller development for automation and control of electrical test equipment
Back-end systems and applications engineering support for embedded and industrial customers
• On-site engineering support for specific major embedded customers
• Primary interface for protocol-specific (SATA, IDE, CF) topics
• Production FA engineering to diagnose and report on potential design problems
• Frequent use of test equipment including protocol analyzers, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and others
