I'm a full-stack software engineer with experience building apps in Ruby on Rails, React, Redux, Javascript, HTML5, CSS3, and both relational and non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB). I am looking for opportunities where I can build web applications that have an educational and transformative effect on people's lives.

A graduate of App Academy, San Francisco's top-ranked coding bootcamp, some of my recent projects include a full-stack clone of the online publishing platform Medium (Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, React/Redux) and a collaboratively-created online trivia game application utilizing the MERN stack. I'm currently working on a web application in Javascript that creates data visualizations of the etymological and semantic connections between different English words.

I am also passionate about education, with experience teaching a wide variety of topics both at home and abroad. At UC Berkeley, I taught lectures on Roman Civilization, discussion sections on classical literature and mythology, classes in Latin and Greek language at all levels, and seminars in composition and textual analysis. I've also been a contributor and consultant for the Scripps National Spelling Bee since 2006, and currently act as alternate Associate Pronouncer and Record Keeper yearly at the Bee.
