# Kevin Welch > Senior Software Engineer at UTA Location: Los Angeles Metropolitan Area, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/kevinwelch I’m a backend engineer who focuses on building systems that are clean, reliable, and make life easier for the people using them. I like solving hard problems with practical solutions, especially around data pipelines, workflow orchestration, and service-oriented architectures. Most of my work sits in TypeScript and cloud environments, with experience in Temporal, microservices, event-driven systems, and strong type safety patterns. I also have a lot of experience using Python and some in embedded systems. I have jumped into frontend when needed, usually with frameworks like Next.js. I’m will not badge myself as a distributed systems expert, but I am working to design systems that scale, and I care a lot about doing it the right way. I tend to think long-term and enjoy connecting technical decisions to real business goals. I move quickly, iterate often, and try my best to keep things simple and clear. I like collaborating with people who are curious, honest, and trying to build good things together. I’m curious by nature and like to keep leveling up — lately that means working deeper into Rust, distributed systems patterns, and data-intensive application design. Mostly, I just love learning, pushing myself, and contributing to environments with good engineering and good people. ## Work Experience ### Senior Software Engineer @ United Talent Agency Jan 2022 – Present ### Senior Software Engineer @ MediaHound, Inc.
