# Kevyn Herrera > Graduate of University of California, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science program Location: San Francisco Bay Area, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/kevynherrera I am a developer based in the San Francisco Bay Area with an eagerness to take on any engineering problem and bringing it to life. As a kid it was always my dream of being able to one day become a professional engineer and pushing the limits of what’s possible. Coming from an immigrant household with limited resources in my community, that dream seemed very distant, but through my hard work and persistence I created opportunities to make that possible. Throughout high school I started a science oriented club, became one of the founding members of our robotics team, and was the one of the first students in the school’s history to participate in the local science fair which led me to winning an Engineering Excellence award from Yale. My passion led me to UC Berkeley where I graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science where my excitement for learning about algorithms, mathematics, and programming only grew. I went on to use my hardware and software skills in an industry setting where I have had the opportunity to be the lead engineer on projects such as the Jim Dunlop CBJ95. Whether in education or in industry, I am constantly learning and growing my capabilities as an engineer and my passion for lifelong learning has only expanded. Being in an area such as software engineering, where there are still countless problems to solve, only excites me and motivates me more to take on any challenge that I face.
