I am a software engineer with over 9 years of experience in building scalable and distributed systems. I specialize in Cloud-Based Distributed Systems, Service Architecture and Design, DevOps, and Agile Project Management.
Worked on Azure Fluid Relay (https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/products/fluid-relay), which provides a real-time collaboration platform. Developers can leverage this platform to build their applications. I have experience in building distributed systems using technologies such as Kubernetes, Redis, MongoDB, Azure Storage (Blob Object Storage), Kafka, Azure Key Vault, CosmosDB (similar to DynamoDB), and Azure Service Bus (similar to SQS). I have led several feature crews in our team to build features with high availability, reliability, and maintainability.
Additionally, I specialize in building load testing frameworks to measure the reliability and scalability of distributed systems. In my role as a security and privacy champion for my team, I address service level agreements related to security and privacy for our customers.
Furthermore, I am actively involved in mentoring engineers on the team to support their professional development.
I worked on the open-source Microsoft Fluid Framework (https://github.com/microsoft/FluidFramework), a real-time collaboration platform. Developers can build their web applications on top of this framework. I contributed to the implementation of ordering real-time collaboration messages over a socket connection, gaining expertise in technologies such as Kubernetes, Kafka, Linkerd, Blob Storage, and Redis as part of this project.
Additionally, I have led multiple feature crews, playing a key role in designing and implementing critical features, such as rate-limiting and an authorization framework for the Fluid Framework.
I worked in the Microsoft Office team to build the Reply @mention feature, allowing users to respond to @mentions in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint with 99.9% reliability. This feature is utilized by millions of Office customers globally, facilitating effective collaboration on the same document. I leveraged the latest technologies, such as Microsoft Azure Service Fabric and Azure Storage solutions, to empower our customers in achieving their goals through Microsoft Office products.
I continued working on Engineering Security and Release Platform, hosted on Azure Service Fabric. This involved setting up of multiple data centers, strategizing phased roll outs, building telemetry and automated monitoring systems, etc. I led and mentored a feature crew of 3 junior engineers to deliver Malware Scanning, Orchestration of workflows and Release Storage features.
