As a Consultant Developer, I work with clients to develop new web applications and continually improve their existing applications and infrastructure.

Project examples:

• Implementing new features to an existing suite of applications for a client in the Health Insurance industry; whilst developing a modern React front end to replace the existing one written in WebForms. Working in an Agile Scrum team across the tech stack, from adding new functionality in the UI to altering Stored Procedures in SQL Server Management Studio.

• Providing Network & Infrastructure skills for a small development team; maintaining the application infrastructure of a client organisation with over 500 employees. This assignment involved creating a test environment for a Disaster Recovery failover procedure, utilising AlwaysOn Availability, Load Balancing, and SQL Server Replication.

As a Graduate Developer, I was introduced to key Programming, Testing, and Networking concepts and technologies over six months; culminating in a group project in which I used a brief to design, develop, test, and deploy a web application to a virtual environment. The successful delivery of this project enabled my progression to Junior Developer in a client-facing role.

My responsibilities in this role were to identify opportunities to improve efficiency in the manufacturing process.

Project examples:

• I identified areas for manufacturing improvement by working in the Production department and then creating User Stories. These aided in implementing a new Manufacturing Resource Planning application, ensuring the new processes focused on preventing waste and downtime.

• I created new operating guides and revised the training scheme after shadowing senior employees in each department. These improved the onboarding process by ensuring all the necessary skills were covered, increasing training efficiency.

As a Lifeguard and counsellor at Tyler Hill, I was responsible for the well-being of all campers and counsellors. I worked in a team of Lifeguards where clear communication was essential to maintain a safe environment. As part of this role, I completed an intensive two-week course to become an American Red Cross certified Lifeguard.

Key Responsibilities:

• Planning and leading group swimming lessons.

• Guarding the boating lake and swimming pool.

• Being the trusted point of contact for 12 campers.
