As one of the first engineers at a pre-seed startup, I helped launch the matchmaking app Loop on the App Store in March 2023, delivering several core features to enhance user engagement and app functionality.

▪ Groups Feature: Led backend development for the Groups feature, enabling open, closed, and private groups with multi-admin support and seamless member request management.
▪ Location Data Integration: Integrated structured location data using the Google Places and Autocomplete APIs, enhancing data consistency and search accuracy.
▪ Location Data Backfill: Wrote scripts to backfill unstructured freeform text input for location into structured Google Place data.
▪ Education Campaigns: Architected and developed the backend and frontend for in-app education campaigns, enhancing user engagement and onboarding experience.
▪ Waitlist Functionality: Designed and implemented backend and frontend for an invite-only waitlist, allowing users to join via an invite link or waitlist.
▪ Features Implementation: Built backend and frontend for creating, editing, and deleting "Features"—posts users write to feature friends on their feed.
▪ Analytics: Added logging using Amplitude and Customer.io.

Messaging Commerce Team:
One of the three core engineers on the Purchase Protection product, enabling users in Thailand to report order issues directly through Messenger, initiate cases, and request refunds.
▪ Order Tracker Development: Led architectural enhancements for the order tracker by migrating it to a modern infrastructure and introducing key features such as step-skipping and out-of-order step marking, optimizing user experience and functionality.

Facebook Shops Team:
Pioneered key migrations and features to enhance the Shops experience.
▪ Live Shopping Migration: Led the migration of Live Shopping from Native Templates to React Native on the Facebook Shops tab, improving cross-platform performance and user engagement.
▪ Marketing Billboard Promotions: Led the integration of Marketplace-originated promotional billboards into the Shops tab, expanding marketing visibility for Facebook Shops.
▪ Category Feed Creation: Designed and implemented the category feed feature, including the addition of category pills and feed units on the Shops tab. Collaborated with ranking engineers to define API requirements for fetching category options and displaying items within specific categories, enriching the shopping experience for users.

Messenger Product Infrastructure Team:
▪ XMAs API Enhancement: Improved the extensible message attachments (XMAs) API, allowing product teams to seamlessly render rich, interactive data within Messenger, supporting diverse use cases and enhancing message interactivity.
