Her recent research focuses on data management for disaggregated persistent memory architectures. She has also worked in the areas of storage and information management, storage dependability, NoSQL databases, intelligent storage, and workload characterization. Her work has led to 22 granted US patents and over 60 publications in refereed journals and conferences, and has contributed to multiple products. She holds a Ph.D. and an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and a B.S. in Computer Engineering and Engineering and Public Policy from Carnegie Mellon University. Keeton was the Technical Program Committee (PC) Chair for multiple top-tier conferences on computer systems and storage, including USENIX Symposium on Operating Systems Design and Implementation (OSDI 2016), ACM European Conference on Computer Systems (EuroSys 2016), ACM International Conference on Measurement and Modeling of Computer Systems (SIGMETRICS 2011), USENIX Symposium on File and Storage Technologies (FAST 2010), and IEEE/IFIP Dependable Systems and Networks/Performance and Dependability Symposium (DSN/PDS 2008). She has served as an industrial advisor to university research groups at Carnegie Mellon, ETH-Zurich, and University of California at Berkeley.
