# Kirtan P. > Software Engineer at Tradeweb Location: Somerset, New Jersey, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/kirtan Hi! I’m Kirtan Patel, a full-stack engineer at Tradeweb who builds real-time systems and the UIs that supports it. At work I own high-volume alerting and platform work across Kafka, Kubernetes, and Terraform. After hours I’m usually building apps or messing around with code just to see what happens. :) ## Work Experience ### Assistant Vice President - Software Engineer @ Tradeweb Jan 2023 – Present | Jersey City, New Jersey, United States Led migration from Docker Compose to Kubernetes, streamlining deployments and improving release reliability and debugging efficiency. Designed and implemented Terraform modules to provision and manage on-prem Redis, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch clusters, establishing infrastructure-as-code standards. Built an internal trade alert aggregation service processing hundreds of thousands of events daily, delivering real-time, preference-based notifications to the sales team and increasing trade engagement. Serve as technical owner of a Kafka-based distributed alerting platform handling ~1,000,000 messages per day, driving impact analysis and cross-team system changes. Established Playwright as the standard E2E testing framework for legacy applications, decreasing manual QA dependency and improving deployment confidence. Updated Button’s iOS merchant library to provide partners an easier way to report customers’ orders to Button. Created an iOS and an Android app that used Button’s API using a single code base written in Kotlin Native at company hackathon. Created and led a new design plan to improve the UX/UI of Button’s internal testing app to increase usage within the company and to speed up testing for Button’s bi-weekly release. Worked on a mobile engineering and QA cross department team to implement new tests in the test plan after implementing new features. Stack: Swift, Objective-C, and SwiftUI ### Data Analyst Intern @ Orange and Rockland Utilities, Inc. Jan 2018 – Jan 2018 | Spring Valley, New York Analyzed trends using R and collected safety data to find ways to reduce incidents and increase safety for 1,200 employees.
