# Kristen K. > Senior UX/UI Designer | AI-driven products, UX research & human-centered design Location: San Francisco, California, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/kristenk I am a UX/UI Product Designer with a BFA in Graphic Design and certifications in Front-End Development and UX Design. I specialize in data-driven, user-centered solutions for complex systems, with experience across startups and Fortune 500 companies. Highlights include leading innovation for Microsoft Outlook and enhancing workflows for Adobe, resulting in measurable improvements in user engagement and efficiency. I am currently expanding my expertise at the intersection of AI, research, and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). My work focuses on using analytics, behavioral insights, and emerging technologies to solve complex design challenges and build meaningful digital experiences. I am a researcher at heart. In my Stanford capstone for UX/UI Design for AI Products, I explored ethical and explainable AI while designing a concept for an AI-powered wellness coach for women. The product integrated wearable data with a conversational LLM and xAI insights to support daily decision-making and personalized recovery guidance. My research began with interviews with 10+ women to understand mood patterns, recovery needs, and cycle-related challenges. As an avid runner, I have seen how RED-S, emotional eating, disrupted sleep, and inconsistent recovery can shape performance. My goal was to design a system that helps women optimize well-being and athletic goals using their own physiological data. I also participated in a Fitbit (Google) research study as an athlete, where I was tested for VO2 max, daily movement, and sleep quality. This deepened my understanding of how wearable data informs recovery and performance. My past experience includes projects for Pandia Health (birth-control delivery), AstraZeneca (pharma), and a stealth startup developing an LLM for mental health assessments. AstraZeneca introduced me to designing alongside data science, medical devices, and machine learning, which strengthened my interest in ethical health tech innovation. I also bring strong experience in enterprise software and design systems. At Adobe, I helped scale the design system for Acrobat’s web ecosystem. At Microsoft, I worked within Outlook’s product ecosystem to enhance search and filter workflows. Across all of my work, my mission is to design ethical, human-centered, AI-driven products that protect user trust, support health privacy, and create impactful experiences aligned with real human needs. In my spare time, I run and train for marathons. My favorite races are the Boston Athletic Association races, including the Boston Marathon. ## Work Experience ### Founder & UX Consultant @ Kristen Kelly Studio, LLC Jan 2023 – Present | San Francisco Bay Area Founder and Lead Designer at Kristen Kelly Studio — a boutique design practice specializing in Research-Driven and AI-Enhanced UX/UI for technology and health innovation.
