# Krystle Young > Staff UX Researcher | Mentor & DEI Advocate | Ex-Uber, Disney, FB Location: San Francisco Bay Area, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/krystleyoung Krystle thrives at the intersection of design x psychology x tech x data. She is a strong advocate for the spread of visually pleasing and easy-to-use UX/UI design thinking that intuitively considers both the needs of the people who use it and the businesses that provide it. She applies a global, cross cultural perspective and big picture understanding of competitive marketplace landscapes to complex business problems. Her game plan is to achieve the sweet spot between feasibility (tech), viability (business), and desirability (humans). She sees design as the bridge between businesses, complex technology, and the consumer with the understanding that "Great design cannot happen without thorough research first." Through storytelling, innovation, and empathy, Krystle guides product and engineering teams to focus on human-computer interaction problems across all interfaces and solve those problems with cutting edge ideas, user-centered research, and enjoyable, effortless design. With her Master of Human-Computer Interaction and Design Degree from UC Irvine, Krystle is interested in leading UX roles in the following industries: aerospace, autonomous vehicles and transportation, eCommerce, film/entertainment, gaming, social media, and VR/AR/MR. Her current research interests include: reducing motion sickness in VR and gaming, streamlining auto, flight, and software/systems engineering interfaces, innovating AR gestures and interactions, and implementing UX to encourage kind and generous behavior on social media. In her spare time, she 1) volunteers to mentor burgeoning talent and BIPOC in UX Research and Design via www.UXCoffeeMentors.com, a 20% passion project by Google UXRs AND 2) does UX writing for funsies!
