•Developed gamified time management tool and chatbot for agile teams and remote organizations via customizable conversational daily reports.
•Launched Discord module of chatbot, a Django Rest Framework app for slash commands, an asynchronous Python micro service for message ingestion over web socket, and Celery task service for scheduling http requests that obey third party rate limiting. Responsible for DB schema redesign and new schemas. Had ownership of backend, upkeep, and site reliability.
•Refactored Slack MVP to be scalable and modular, growing service from 1 server to 50+.
•Developed user retention feature for one click team matching and continued play.
•Simplified user onboarding to reporting to be a 2-step OAuth process, down from 8 steps.
•Worked directly with CTO, defining project direction and feature prioritization.
•Expanded Devops, established the use of Black, JsPrettier, Git templates, and Pre-commit.
