I am a software engineer who loves building reliable, high-impact systems that make things work faster and smarter. I have 5+ years of professional Software Engineering experience at Samsung and startup Turvo Inc., and recently completed my Master’s in Computer Science at Virginia Tech, where I worked on LLM evaluation and retrieval-augmented generation systems.

At Turvo, I helped re-architect our Rules Framework into Spring Boot microservices, migrated 216K+ shipments with zero downtime, and tuned Elasticsearch and GraphQL layers to make global search feel instant. Before that at Samsung, I worked on System UI for over a billion Android devices and contributed to the world’s first foldable phone launch at HQ in Suwon.

Recently, I’ve been exploring how large language models can detect subtle consent-violation patterns in online narratives, building data pipelines with OpenAI, Gemini, and SentenceTransformers.

Outside work, I love attending hackathons and building quick, end-to-end projects. My recent ones include LifexAI, a personal finance AI app, and DoDEx, an LLM-powered contract parser that won the People’s Choice Award at Bitcamp.

### AI Research Engineer @ Virginia Tech
Jan 2025 – Jan 2026 | Alexandria, VA
1. Built data-processing pipelines for LLMs in Python integrating OpenAI, Llama, and Gemini APIs through implementation of data-selection strategies including seed-based, embedding-based, alongside domain expert in the loop for ∼1k records.
2. Designed an agentic RAG pipeline (PyTorch + SentenceTransformers) with tool-use for top-K selection, improving relevance and recall and achieving ∼80% F1 in classification tasks.
3. Automated reporting with Pandas/NumPy, producing results across 12 model × label setups and reducing run time by 3x.

1. Enhanced global search and filter efficiency by 10% through advanced Elasticsearch indexing and GraphQL API implementation, improving data retrieval speed and accuracy for supply chain operations.
