I am passionate about design that has a meaningful impact in the world around me. I believe in developing sustainable technologies as well as improving lives through the things with which we interact. I did my undergrad in mechanical engineering and have had the opportunity to explore different fields from working in various Boeing propulsion internships including work on the 737 MAX and EcoDemonstrator, to two years I spent as a mechanical product designer at Sunpower focused mainly on residential but also commercial solar mounting projects. Currently I am getting my masters in ME and teaching an intro to manufacturing course. From my days as a whitewater instructor, I know teaching is the fastest road to mastery, and I enjoy the challenge of helping students and learning with them as they design and create using tools like mills, lathes, CNC’s, sand casting, welding, and much much more. I always love a challenge and working with great people.
